hip mobility

Our hips are the power source for so many athletic activities. It's no secret that Squats, Lunges and other similar exercises help us to get stronger and perform better. But we can also be putting the brakes on our best efforts if our hip mobility and range of motion is sub par.

The Turkish get-up is a total-body exercise that increases torso stabilization and overall strength. The movement is very complex and requires upper body strength to maintain a weight overhead, shoulder stability, hip and glutes strength to raise your body off the floor, and tremendous core strength. It's a very functional movement and includes many of the most basic human movement patterns.

transverse abdominus

Transverse abdominis (TrA) forms the deepest layer of the abdominal musculature, the obliques (internal and external); the middle and rectus abdominis is the most superficial layer. TrA is the most efficiently activated by a drawing in action of the bellybutton.
